Privacy policy

What we collect

• The details you give on the quote form: type of move, postcodes, preferred date, property size, name, phone, email and any notes.
• Your phone number and email address when you call or write to us.
• Messages you send us, including photographs and videos sent by WhatsApp.

Why we use it

We use your information to prepare a quote, to ask any questions we need to price the job properly, and to carry out the move, storage or clearance you book with us.

Lawful basis

We rely on contract, because we need your details to give you a quote and to carry out the work, and on legitimate interests, so that we can answer enquiries, keep records of the jobs we do and run our business.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Our email delivery and website hosting providers, who process enquiries on our behalf.
• Cookham Waste, part of the same group, where clearance or waste collection forms part of your job.

We do not sell your information to anyone.

Cookies and analytics

We use only the cookies needed to make the website work. Analytics is loaded only after you give consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time.

We use Microsoft Clarity, with your consent, to understand how visitors use the site, such as clicks, scrolling and anonymised session replays, so we can improve it. It is only switched on if you accept cookies.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for it in a portable form. Email hello@cookhamremovals.co.uk and we will respond.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
